Re: Shiny & new

Looks like it's possibly from a "Kings and Queens of England" commemorative set.Similar to those "Presidents of the USA" coin sets.
Depending on what it's made of?...could also be from a collection promoting a gas station,Shell,Texaco, etc. Get one free with x amount of gas kinda thing.

Re: Shiny & new

Need a pic of the ha;llmarks. Probably shows a mint or maker's mark. I agree that it's probably from a commemorative set. We just need to find out whixh one.

Definately need a picture of the hallmarks (if thats what they are).?

It doesn't look like anything the Royal Mint would produce.

Re:Hallmarks

Apologies for the delay, here's the best I could do for edge shots,
(out of 4 attempts)
was told at coin shop, one of them means .925
diameter is 7/8, or .825 inch, 22.225 mm, weight 4.5 grams,
unfortunaately ruling out the gold 'Kings & Queens'
Thanks for you research !!
Best Wishes to you all, Herbie.

Re: Shiny & new

Seeing no edge shot ?

Possibly the sets could have been made in silver too,i just posted a gold set as i found that first. The silver mark for London is a leopards head.If there's an "F" (wavy) intertwined with a "M"..it could be Franklin Mint. ?

Can't tell enough from the photo to be sure. But it does appear to be a London assayed piece of silver. However, can't work out the date letter at the end & the first head? mark is confusing.
Look at this site & see if you can date it, bear in mind the date letter not only needs to match but so does the shape of the stamp.

Most likely narrowed down to:

Is it a 'D' letter on the end??

NEW SIDE SHOT

My macro lens has gone missing, hence poor pix,
APPEAR to be, crowned leopard, rose, shield, & letter O. (Broken chain link?)
looks like the 1988 date mark from Crusaders link,
Thanks again to you all!! I think this one is close enough for a green check.
This piece had me starting my first GOLD find happy dance, then I brushed it off & saw the chop mark on side, Nice addition to my coin bowl,
since we can't find any for sale, that means it's priceless, RIGHT !!!
As would be my 'large copper medallion' whatsit post from a while back.
Treasurenet and its members are #1 !!!
Thanks to you all, Good Day & Happy Hunting!! Herbie
