I found this brass shield shaped object in a civil war camp deep in the woods, not near any houses. It is 2.57" tall by 2.42" wide and has silver plate. It is very thin, .04" thick. The back has what looks like a solder mark where a pin or other fastener was attached. I can't find any markings on front or back. Any ideas? Thanks.
