I found these over 30 years ago in London UK, and I am wondering if anyone can tell me are the head stamp dates for real..also one has been fired the other had been disassembled inside the casing was a piece of newspaper that seams to relate to building a tennis court, it has survived very well.............HH....Bonz IMG_2091.webpIMG_2092.webpIMG_2093.webpIMG_2094.webpIMG_2095.webp

The ones marked K were made by Deutsche Metallpatronenfabrik in Karlsruhe Germany in 1898. Likely 7 or 8mm. Gary

Now that's strange, 16 years before the outbreak of WW1, those rounds would have been 16 years old at that time and found in England....HH...Bonz

Perfectly normal to use up the oldest Ammo first. Being German they could be 7.92x57mm German Mauser. Incorrectly called 8mm Mauser.
