looks like a Hornady .22 mag?

It's a Winchester casing. The "H" stamp is in honor of B. Tyler Henry, the inventor of the Henry repeating rifle who worked for Winchester after they bought his patent. All Winchester rimfire ammunition still carries this stamp.

I found one (.22 cal.) about a week ago with a "U" on the bottom and am trying to find info on it for dating purposes. No luck so far. Can anyone help?

Not to be a contrarian here but both the 22 long rifle and 22 magnum Winchester ammo i have is head stamped "Super X", i do know Hornady makes ammo so the H may be that, as far as the "U" headstamp i seem to remember that being a Remington mark, as in Union Matalic Cartridge company, but don't quote me on that one.
