What do you do when you take your girlfriend to her Mom's for a few hours? Of course you take your detector and dig any reasonable target even though you've already hunted the small yard 5 times or so. My favorite is the putty knife with some wood remaining on the handle, same on both sides. The tag at the lower right is from a Tiki torch that was recalled because of a fire hazard. I hit the mason jar lid with my digger breaking the porcelain insert into even more pieces... I did get a 1937 wheat and my first razor blade! Please never dig with your hands! :)

I dug up a razor blade in a park just last week! Broken glass is probably the #1 hazard. Ever put your knee down on la goat head thorn? Wow!@ I always carry a small garden pad or knee pads because of that. One time is enough to make a believer of you! Monty

Great finds!! Never got cut from digging glass up, but dont ever try hitting a glass bottle with a metal pipe :P

I think you overlooked one of your older finds today!
The thing on the top to the left of the car is the guts from an old pocket watch :o

It might be Jake, but I was thinking small clock or a thermostat. I doubt we will ever know... :) Above the putty knife is a bottle cap chewed by a dog I think, forgot to mention that before.

I didn't get cut today doing MD, but could have easily if I was careless. Remember Safety Sam!!! ;D I do have a cut on my arm from replacing my furnace though, and my last tetanus was in 1993......

I've been lucky, I've only dug up razor blade boxes. 1 full and 1 empty. Leather or kevlar reinforced gloves people. They may be more expensive than a first aid kit but well worth it in the end.

That's quite a bit of digging! Nice assortment of goodies!

And good advice, too... ALWAYS BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU ARE DIGGING YOUR TARGET!!!

Congrats!

Naice haul. Your story had made me bring a first aid with me for now on.

GL & HH,
