Shark's Teeth #2

Took the wife and kids to Venice Beach again this weekend. Went down towards Casperson's Beach south of Sharkys.

A long 2.5 hour drive but worth it. It was very windy and the surf was rough, but my 13 year old son and I managed to get some teeth. We bought a scoop this time which made it a whole lot easier.... but it is still tough to find the teeth.

A good family quality time!

Bud

Re: Shark's Teeth #2

Pretty cool sharks teeth collection you got there , you need to get a detector exspecially being in florida it would pay for itself very quickly even a little Fisher F2 would do the job a little over 200 bucks.

Re: Shark's Teeth #2

you would be better making a floating fine mesh screen - just like guys use in water hunting
and get some big shovel or large plastic sand scoops they sell for kids -no holes
and just scoop dump sift

stories I've done
page one of album you'll see some Venice shark teeth
page 7 you'll see some sifters

Re: Shark's Teeth #2

Try to find road work or construction sites in the area ,that expose shell. I work about 45 minutes away from that beach, and like you that's where I got my start. The teeth that I find at construction sites are alot nicer, small meg teeth, great white, tiger, and bull shark teeth.Good luck and happy hunting.
