Seems to be the season for asking so called dumb questions. I personally think that I'm the King of dumb questions.

So here goes

1 Why are wheat pennies called that and why are they called pennies when you guys have dimes

2.Why does gold register as pulltabs

3.If I found all the coins in a square mile how many would I have.

4.Do you find more metal with or without a metal detector

5.Which is the best detector full stop.

6.When will I stop asking questions and start answering them.

7.Why are cobs found only in the Usa.

8.How do chinese detectors detect stuff at 15 feet.

thanks S.I.R

1 Already answered.

2. Because a pulltabs register just like gold

3. 15

4. Without, metal is everywhere

5. The one that gets used.

6. Obviously, never

7. Because this is where corn is grown

8. It is easy to detect a car at 15 feet

# 1 look at the back -- it says one cent and has a wheat stalk on each side ---penny is left over term from old british colonial days --P.S. the british say pence when talking about more than one penny --- only americans use the term very incorrect term " pennies"

#2 because pulltabs and gold have similar conductivity --thus they "look" the same to a detector

#3 all the coins in that square mile area --- it would vary depending on where the square mile was located at as to how many coins you would find

#4 well it depends but I would say with -- the reason being with a detector you will find both what you would with it and the stuff you would bnot see otherwise --- without a detector you would still "see" the metal all around but not the stuff thats hidden in the ground

#5 the proper question should be what is the best detector for me at this time? ---- to answer that requires alot of info such as --- first what price range are we talking about? and what types of items are you seeking and where will you be doing it ? what is your skill level with using a metal detector? so the question is improperly phrazed to begin with .

#6 only you can answer that one , but would very soon be too much to ask for?

#7 because they were melted and remade into coins once they made it to spain

#8 when it beeps non stop you can point it at anything even stuff 15 feet away and say you found it

1 Why are wheat pennies called that and why are they called pennies when you guys have dimes
Because Penny was the name of the guys daughter who designed them

2.Why does gold register as pulltabs
It doesn't, there's a band of MD Ninjas who sneek into the factories & reprogram them to do so......cuts down on the competition.

3.If I found all the coins in a square mile how many would I have.
Easy.....all of them

4.Do you find more metal with or without a metal detector
I have to use my MD when leaving the tavern to find my car.....so "with".

5.Which is the best detector full stop.
Depends on which dealer you're talking to at the moment.

6.When will I stop asking questions and start answering them.
I hope never :D

7.Why are cobs found only in the Usa.
That's cause we live in corn country.

8.How do chinese detectors detect stuff at 15 feet.
They read from right to left, not left to right.

On number 3 ; This thought for everyone;
One average coin can normally fit in a 1 inch square area of ground.
There are 4,014,489,600 square inches in a square mile. There is a probability of some of those square inches to have a coin in them. But depending of the location of the area you might have better luck where lots of coins have been dropped.

If you are searching for a coin within 6 inches of depth, you would have to multiply the above number by 6, to get a total square inches( 24,086,937,600 ) you would need to detect, to fully cover the area.

A question.............. That area might have just one rare coin, worth millions......are you sure you covered the one square inch, that the coin was in????? :)

I have a question for you, were you ever dropped? :P :D

Seriously, what is with the idiotic questions? Get yourself a detector and find out! :)
