Went to a local beach I've detected before. Found some loose change, fishing weights, a Canadian loonie (that's a first for me), and this rather stunning ring.

This rings up as a nickel on my Garret Ace 250, so I highly doubt it's silver. Unfortunately it's unmarked; that and the small spots of corrosion have me leaning towards base metal instead of white gold or some other precious metal. On this band are seven stones with the appearance of diamonds and rubies; at worst that's some real pretty cubic zirconia.

If you guys have any thoughts on this ring and whether it's costume jewelry or the real deal, I'm all ears.

Happy hunting, Kyle

I don't know much but based on your observations, I'm thinking costume but it sure is pretty! Congrats!!

Band looks like costume jewelry.

The ring is plated, so I doubt the stones are real.
