Seven Devastating Obamacare Facts

The Affordable Care Act, more commonly known as Obamacare, has taken a toll on President Barack Obama's standing in the polls. The latest Gallup poll now shows Obama's approval rating at just 39%.

Here are seven Obamacare facts dragging down the president's approval rating:

1. Obamacare will cost taxpayers $1.8 to $2.6 trillion over the next 10 years. Over the next decade, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) estimates Obamacare will cost American taxpayers $1.798 trillion. The Republican Senate Budget Committee says CBO's numbers rely on overly optimistic economic assumptions and puts the true cost at $2.6 trillion.

2. At least 3.5 million Americans have already received health insurance cancelation notices. According to data compiled by the Associated Press, 3.5 million Americans have received notices from their health insurance companies that their plans will be canceled due to Obamacare--something Obama explicitly promised would not occur. Worse, the Associated Press's calculations are expected to rise, as they are based on data for just half of the states.

3. The now-infamous Obamacare website cost U.S. taxpayers over $1 billion to build. A Bloomberg analysis finds that the broken Obamacare website and its supporting IT infrastructure cost American taxpayers over $1 billion.

4. The New York Times says Obamacare "will leave out two-thirds of poor blacks and single mothers." The Times' analysis concluded that Obamacare "will leave out two-thirds of the poor blacks and single mothers and more than half of the low-wage workers who do not have insurance, the very kinds of people that the program was intended to help."

5. Tens of thousands of worker hours and jobs have already been cut due to Obamacare. Local stories of employers slashing jobs and worker hours have become common since Obamacare went into effect. As of Oct. 17, Investor's Business Daily's running Obamacare scorecard listed at least 351 employers who have cut jobs or hours in response to Obamacare.

6. Premiums will rise by 99% for young men and between 55% to 62% for young women. As CBS News has reported, an analysis by the Manhattan Institute finds that, despite the Affordable Care Act's name, health insurance premiums will rise dramatically under Obamacare for young men and women--the individuals Obamacare relies on to fund coverage and subsidies for older, sicker Americans.

7. Obama promised no less than 23 times that "if you like your plan, you can keep your plan." NY Magazine compiled 23 video clips of Obama promising that Obamacare would not result in Americans losing their current health care insurance.

President Barack Obama signed Obamacare into law on March 23, 2010.

On the face of it, it sounds devastating, I am sure this can be turned around though?

The Dems will just print more money to cover up their doo doo. (That is a technical term.) Then none of us will be able to afford ANYTHING because hyperinflation will hit. LOL

This is true but is there a way we can spin the doo doo into cotton candy or something, you know put a happy sugar face on it?

I'm not convinced until we hear from the attack sheep here. I'm sure most of this is untrue.

Seaworld is cutting work hours for some of its 18,000 part-time and seasonal employees to 28 hours per week, down from 32 hours, beginning in November.

All due to lucifercare. ......Under lucifercare 30 hours is considered full time, by cutting hours to 28 they can avoid the new law.....

......

We will NOT go quitely into the night!

There are a few poor lost souls on TN that have no clue of the real world - all we can do is ignore their insane rants. I agree everyone has a right to opinion, though saying 2 + 2 = 5 is not an opinion.

just explain how you arrived at 5 and it will suddenly be the correct answer.

Well let's not be too hard on him! Why might be tough,, how about we just accept that he believes it is correct,, so we will allow it. Less work for all involved that way!

I mean,, we can't have black or white right,, there are many shades of gray we could torture?

(BTW, thanks for letting us have that to play with ringfinder)

Aye .... Oops, Ahem, Uhh, I second the motion!

just explain how you arrived at 5 and it will suddenly be the correct answer.

The sad part is that there are those that believe it.You cant go and have incorrect answers now.Theres no winners or losers in school games,so why should there be incorrect answers.Just a little more dumbing down.I wonder when they start trying to shave them for their wool:icon_scratch:

Well here's this mornings breaking news: Unemployment rate rose to 7.3%; added 204,000 jobs.

Gotta love that new math!

Where's my trophy!

I don't think I have ever seen a law/act passed, that is so extremely discriminatory.
It's only good for "some", but not all?
Another thing to realize, with that "penalty" if you do nothing, well, that seems, through their thug IRS enforcers, to be a "land grab" situation.
The 'dreamers" of this new act, was surely looking out for "someone's" best interests,
I don't believe it was the American publics, best interests. Perhaps an investigation in to the portfolio holdings of some of these "dream writers", might would reveal a money trail?

Thank you Pat!!! That is one of the things I have been preaching!!! There will be confiscations, Just wait till you can't pay either your out of pocket or you get enough penalties built up!!! What is the cap on the amount you have to pay?????

What will be the price on the older generations? Who is going to go after their assets in the end?

The death tax is about to rise to a whole new level.

If one really thinks about this;

We, and the world, just came out of one of the toughest devastating economic situations, we have ever seen since the great depression. I know ppl had to shed MILLIONS in properties, folks that lost 100's of thousands in investments, and household financial security is at an all time low(for the populous).
So what does Obozzo do?

Let's make a plan to take MORE from those, who have already lost so much, and we're going to "guise" it under,
oh we're trying to help the poor. BULLCHIT!
These were very intelligent ppl, that put together a "secret" program, that they figured the rest of the country was either too dumb, or too zombiefied, to pay attention to and understand.

If they wanted to do something for the poor and uninsured, they would have gave those TRILLIONS to the healthcare doctors that go state to state, setting up free clinics to treat the poor (I forget the name of the program).
I will be the first to say, NO ONE should be denied healthcare services, but obozzo's "wealth redistribution plan", has got NOTHING to do with healthcare an everything to do with tyrannical rule.
I'm sorry, I just don't trust them stuffed suits! Go knock on any of their doors, and tell them you are hungry and need a coat, see how fast they will SLAM the door in your face and call the police!

The gulf between what they say and what they do, could span galaxies!
