And found some fossilized bone. My first vertebrate sea creature. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1559489705.784496.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1559489721.452079.jpg

I think the small one is a Madison but it’s so square Is there anything similar to Madison but less triangular?

I'd say that square piece is a broken, proximal end of a stemmed or lanceolate point. e.g.

I thought so too but it’s so thin and finely chipped I didn’t think it was beefy enough to be a stem, and why spend that much time on it? your first one was more what I thought I didn’t know if there was a point type that looked like that I didn’t see one in overstreet

I’ll def be back again and again If I could I’d spend all day in that spot, every time I got a little tired a piece of pottery or a tool fragment would pop out and give me a boost. If I strike out other places I go there to feel good about the day

Recently got a rib bone with butcher marks and a bison calcaneus bone
The only spot I find bone, from what I understand the soil is really hard on bone around here. I think it gets preserved because it’s under an overhang in mostly crumbly limestone mixed with some fine dirt
