oh no no no no no lol Yikes! It's too early I have a lot to dig up yet! Stay warm & HH

Those are some great pictures of beautiful scenery. The only scenery in chicago are gangbangers running around hitting everything but what they shoot at.

Nice pictures.

Can I come see for myself, but still have the temperatures in the 80s?

It was chilly here this mourning at 64. Almost broke out the heater.

We made 81 once here in Summit County and it broke a record cactusrat. The good thing is after you've been here a while, when the thermometer says 30, why it feels like.....30, to an Oklahoma native like me anyway. (seriously though, hits 30 in January and I'm out in a t-shirt washin the pickup) It's depressing to see what little summer we have die, so I think I'll load up and run down to Moab tomorrow for a couple of days. Forecast says 80's in the day and 50's at night down there.

30s! I only saw it that low 2 or 3 times last winter, and that was for only a couple of hours each time.

I love the Rocky Mountains. As a kid, the family did a two week camping vacation in the Rockies every year. One summer I remember having to make a run off the mountain because it started snowing.

Nope, I think I will stay away from snow.

Beautiful photo's as usual from you RGINN, one day I'm going to get on a plane and you are going to get a knock on the door and we're going to go camping, with cameras:notworthy:

Any predictions on the snowfall for this winter up in Summit? When I lived in Leadville in the 70's I do remember one year as a real mother. I dug a small canyon made of snow going up my driveway. The walls were over 8ft high. Seems the snow levels have been just below normal in recent years. I think we're due for a doozy soon that will cause you to scratch your head over the global warming theory. :dontknow: but who know?

hammered................don't go in the winter, that fool will still put you lakeside in a tent and have you chopping holes in the ice in search of food.

What.......you mean no Mcdonalds???????:tongue3:. On the upside, Benson knows how to melt round holes in snow or ice, downside it leaves a funny taste in your mouth:laughing7:

Yeah buddy I like that post by packerbacker! I'd never do that to you hammered. Snipe hunting is a very popular activity up here in the woods and I happen to be one of the best snipe hunt organizers around. I think you'd enjoy that. I have known of folks who decided after a few hours or even days they didn't care much for it though. No tellin on snow up here this winter, tamrock. We'll get it is all I can say. I've seen two feet on the ground by Thanksgiving but last year I wondered if we would have a white Christmas. It nailed us in the spring last year.
