The corruption in both parties is surreal. You couldn’t make this up… the new “compromise” that establishment Republicans and Democrats in the Senate have come up with delay’s part of Obamacare… for unions.

Yes, that means that the unions are now pushing for this, as it will help them, but will have little to no impact on Obamacare for the rest of the people. That means congress and the president have made special exemptions for congress, big corporations, unions… but not the American people.

The response should be simple: individuals should have the SAME delay — at worst — as the large corporations. Anything else is pure corruption.

Here’s what The Hill reported:
Labor unions are poised to score the delay of an ObamaCare tax in the bipartisan budget deal emerging in the Senate.
The bargain under negotiation would make small adjustments to the healthcare law, including delaying the law’s reinsurance fee for one year. The three-year tax is meant to generate revenue that will stabilize premiums on the individual market as sick patients enter the risk pool.
The tax applies to all group health plans, but unions argue it will raise their healthcare costs while providing them no benefit.
The reinsurance tax figured prominently in discussions at a recent AFL-CIO convention, where workers passed a resolution demanding changes to ObamaCare.
No special exemptions or delays. Either we delay the entire plan, or not at all. Ideally, we repeal or defund. But under no circumstances do we keep creating “special” rules for the politically connected.

My stance, either get rid of BOcare completely, or implement it completely. No carveouts, no exceptions, no delays and no more crony capitalism.

If we get rid of it we can help Americans despite their ignorance of the impact (granted, if they don't feel the pain, there will be no real changes in their intelligence). And fully implemented will throw America into such chaos that only the die hard communists will still tout it's greatness.

Everyone from BO on down...... It is either everone is on it or no one is on it, no exceptions at all....

No, the real reason is the ACA was never intended to apply to people who already have insurance. I am exempt as well for that very reason.

Believe it or not , I belong to a Union and agree 100% . EVERYONE or NO ONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's OBO change , feel the PAIN !!!!!!!!!!

Misguided, not true.
Highmark halting special coverage - Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Highmark Inc. is discontinuing all of its individual "guaranteed-issue" health insurance plans at the end of this year, affecting about 25,000 policyholders in Western Pennsylvania and 13,000 more in the central part of the state.
Those customers, if they intend to maintain health coverage, can buy an individual plan through the Pittsburgh insurer, through another insurance carrier or through the new online health insurance exchanges set to open Oct. 1.
"Guaranteed-issue" policies are a special class of coverage offered by Highmark and other Blue Cross Blue Shield insurers, available to everybody regardless of health history.
The premiums can be expensive, but they also are subsidized. The plans generally are money-losers for the insurer.

Father of ?Public Option? Says It's Not a ?Trojan Horse? for a Single-Payer Health-Care System | CNS News

In a 2008 video obtained and aired by Fox News Channel (first posted by www.Verumserum.com), Hacker not only suggested that his plan would lead to a single-payer system, but said it would do so openly, in a gradual way, he admitted.

“Someone once said to me, ‘Well, this is a Trojan horse for single payer.’ I said, ‘Well, it’s not a Trojan horse, right? It’s just right there! I’m telling you!’” Hacker said in the video, which was filmed at a July 2008 forum sponsored by the liberal Tides Foundation,.

“We’re going to get there (to a government-run system)--over time, slowly, but we’ll move away from reliance on employment-based health insurance, as we should.

“But we’ll do it in a way that we’re not going to frighten people into thinking they’re going to lose their private insurance. We’re going to give them a choice of public and private insurance when they’re in the pool, and we’re going to let them keep their private employment-based insurance if their employer continues to provide it.” - See more at: Father of ?Public Option? I'm sorry, when you say I am misguided, is that an attack?

And what I posted is absolutely true, but it just might not have been reported on Fox News or conservative AM radio. It seems the only people who need to read the ACA to "find out what's in it" are those on the right who constantly try to spread misinformation about it. Is the ACA perfect? Not at all! Nothing that humans engage in is perfect. So we fix what problems it has, and get on with life. Its the law. I remember a day when those on the right respected the law, whether they agreed with them or not...

No not an attack, I should have said not paying attn?
I have read of a time when the dems supported many laws that are no longer existing( because these laws were not constitutional). Slavery, prohibition and segregation are a few.

Saying someone is misguided is not an attack.

So if Congress passes a law that outlaws free speech you just say " get on with life".....

A bad law is a bad law and you do what ever you have to do to overturn it.

If a law cannot be overturned, by GOD you better drop that beer. Alcohol consumption used to be illegal in the ENTIRE UNITED STATES.

Look up the 18th Amendment - or just "Prohibition". Elliot Ness was a product of Prohibition. Made him famous.

Any law, any Amendment, can be overturned ... and this bad amendment was overturned by the 21st Amendment.

Otherwise, you'd be unable to grab a brewski or have a shot of sourmash.

Me, I always loved Jim Beam in Iced Tea with a bit of orange juice added ... so I could get my vitamin C for the day.
