I went out back into my woods today and found a my first horseshoe ever which had me stoked! I also found what i believe to be part of a horse bridal. I also found a couple of headstamps, the one on the left dates 1912-1932 and is in superb condition, the one on the right dates 1922-1929! It might not be anything pretty but i had fun :) 100_5731.JPG100_5733.JPG100_5734.JPG100_5740.JPG

Nice finds!

Horseshoes are fun! I haven't found one in years! Congratulations!

Thx guys!

Turn your horseshoe pointing up so the luck wont run out-----old wives tale but why take the chance!

Hello Donneybrook. Nice finds, the horse shoe is great especially in FL, I have never dug one down here.

The head stamps are cool too, the old timers really loved their shotguns as I find them often. What I really like about them is there is quite a variety to collect, they are brass so they are usually in OK shape, and they are pretty well documented.

The bridal item you found might be part of a full cheek snaffle bit used to have more control over the horse.
