Got back out today and continued working field site #2. Found a pretty Sweet (considering it's field dug) Semi Key Indian 1867. Total of 9 buttons including what I believe is a CW Button (only my 2nd). I found what I consider is my FIRST 1/2 Cent. Although it says Bank Token it also has half cent stamped on it. It is a Providence of Canada, Bank of Montreal (token) dated 1842! A little help please, were these used as a type of currency in their day? Also found another LC, an 1830. It was beyond toasted, I had to use a plastic/abrasive scratch pad thingy to get a date, thus the bit of shine on it. Also found my first field site Ring, although it's stamped 14k inside the band my guess is just plated. We have snow and cold weather coming, might be the last hunt for a while, but it was a good one.
Thanks for looking, Bill
