I got out this weekend for a long multi site hunt. The first site i hit was an old school and got a 1945P silver war nickel...my first silver of 2012. I then hit the site where I found the walking liberty half and pulled my second silver of the year. It was a 1930 Merc and I threw it in my pouch. When I was done with the hunt I cleaned it off and noticed it had a S mint mark. I looked it up on my iPhone coin app and low and behold it is a semi key date merc. Total mintage of only 1.8 million or the 5th lowest mintage merc. Later with I hit the sidewalks and I got a no date buffalo. It wasn't until I got home that I notice on the back that it was a raised mound meaning it had to be a 1913. Really cool and my oldest nickel to date. I also found a cross marked 14KT but it turned out to be plated. I finished the day with a ton of clad, two tokens and 4 wheats including a 1920. It was a great weekend
