I sure would like to check it out do you know the material its made of?Hopefully someone will buy it, i saw one sell today for only 300 bucks on online auction, friggn economy maybe.

i think it is carter cave, someone said flint ridge but i doubt it. someone also said it looks like texas material but that would be a crazy tranfer of flint

Don't do it. Boom.

i had to sell my paleo couple years back. everyday i think about them, remember exactly how i found em and it makes me sick i had to sell. we all do what we have to.

Flint gets around i found a piece made of fort payne in licking county ohio.so it could be possible, alot of clovis material cant be identified.I agree w/ Tom keep it...Boom

Don't sell it. The economy is bad ,you probably won't get full value and besides isn't it priceless?

First off, I agree with the others. Don't sell it as you will regret it for the rest of your life and will probably never find another as nice. If you have to sell something then tray up some lesser points that are of good quality and see if you can sell them. I would rather sell 50 common points for $10 to $15 each than that Clovis for $500 to $600. Just my opinion.

Also, unless your picture changed the color of the flint that is not Carter Cave. Carter is usually a reddish orange in color.

i agree with the rest dont sell it.it's hard to find something as rare as that you'll be sorry try and sell the least important ones if you gotta sell.

you will look at the furniture you buy and you will hate it!

You'll regret it !!!!

I've been offered quite a bit of moola for some of my points, but thank goodness, I've never sold any of the good ones. Money can be earned--pretty darn fast in the large picture of life's timeline. The cash you'll get for that point will be gone and the point will be, too. You can save for a few months to get the money for what you need, but you can never replace the point--or possibly ever find anything that nice again!!!

If you sell it, don't let it eat at you too bad either. It is just a rock...

Trevvma did you sell it? I think i saw you walking out as i was pulling in.

Man, tell me you changed your mind! What part of Ohio are you in? I live in Cincinnati.
Chuck

I have to agree with everyone here. DO NOT SELL IT!!! Please tell us you did'nt sell already. Had I found that point there is no way I could put a price on it. Like mentioned, you might get $500 out of it but the money will be gone in no time and likely not much to show for it, however you can keep the point and cherish it forever.

nope i still got it, instead i got a notch base dove from oldbarn, lol. i live in franklin we will have to go hunting sometime.,

you could always sell it to a friend with the promise (signed contract) to buy it back within an agreed amount of time! if its on paper and legit, judge judy will tell the other guy to give it back or pay the 800 -1000 bucks its worth! my opinion says dont sell, but i sold a bunch of artifacts in 2001 to a few friends with a handshake agreement. i never recovered the stuff, but i still have the friends that may one day need some extra cash and i can say, how bout that stuff there buddy?
