I helped an associate liquidate about $300-400 face value dimes, quarters, halves, peace’dollars.
I referred him to an independent coin dealer, they came to a deal and the peace dollars were all common years, 1921 thru 1924. Mostly in uncirculated condition. He was offered as part of package $10 per coin. I told him I would take seven of the coins for $20 per coin.

He pulled back or cherry picked seven Coins as a way of sayings thanks for lining up the deal...

Did I make a wise investment if they are quality grade Coins.

Sorry no photos yet?

Even if they are "only" AU, I think you did very well. If one grades MS-63 or 64, then you did extremely well! Nice peace dollars are under-rated IMO. Congrats!

Wow I would have bought em 10 each thats a steal

Well, if there were some Uncirculated 1921 Peace Dollars in the mix of Peace Dollars that the independent Dealer purchased for $10 each, then your associate got screwed. The 1921 Peace Dollars are one of the Key Date coins to the series and denomination. I can understand the Dealer only paying $10 each for the 1922, 1923 and 1924 Peace Dollars since the Silver Melt around that times was only a little over $11 and the Peace Dollars are hard to sell but not any 1921 Peace Dollars. Even if they were 1921 Morgan Dollars with such high mintages, they are worth more than $10 each and I can sell them all day long for $17 each and better ones for $18 each. Sorry, just an observation from someone who deals in coins quite regularly!
