Just curious has anyone else sold to Kitco and if so did the transaction work out well? Also was your shipping with registered and insured mail very expensive? Is it worth trying to sell a large quantity to Kitco vs a local coin shop. I figure a local coin shop would pay me $150.00 less than Kitco would with silver at $14.01 currently.

I'm still saving all of my silver but this thread just made me think about it a little more.

went to da post office and they turned me on to dis flat rate box. paid 'bout $8 for dat plus $20 fo' insurance.

If my calculations are correct they paid you $11.31 oz when silver was around $14 oz. That is a 20% cut, but not bad because my local coin dealer would have paid $1417 and my "local" is still $6 in gas roundtrip.

It pays to check around. That is what I did when I looked for a place to sell mine.
