I have my doubts about there conclusions. I have observed those rocks for hours.
Death Valley is the lowest and hottest spot in the US. The ground is absolutely parched.
The area of the rocks is flat.
My theory would involve either movement caused by earth vibration such as mini quakes
or iron content in the rocks moved by the earths magnetic field.

If water froze under the rocks wouldn't they freeze in place. and they would not leave a trail.
Just my thoughts, Frank...- five star.png6 06-2 YELLOWSTONE 035-1.jpgHay, these haven't moved!

I did it.... and I do the crop circles also.

Nat. Geo. had a show on telly last night; "movements" caused by FREEZING nights, FROZEN snow/lake, etc. NO ONE has ever seen rocks move... dunno. :icon_scratch:

Why hasn't anyone done a time lapse photography study on this?

Way cool. Seen articles on the mystery but not any solid hypothesis . Your post helped there.

"Man I buried it under that turtle shaped rock but it's not there!.."???:icon_scratch::laughing7:
