but I just figured I'd post some sites that may indeed help you with identification

Meteorite Home Tests

Have You Found a Meteorite - Meteorite Identification, How to Identify a Meteorite

METEORITE IDENTIFICATION, HOW TO IDENTIFY A METEORITE, IDENTIFYING METEORITES, METEORITE TEST, METEORITE TESTING, METEORITE STREAK TEST

How Do you know if it is a meteorite

Found A Meteorite? (Meteorite Identification Information & Help) - Meteorites Australia

Hope some of these sites will help you all out... good luck

Good idea. There have been tests and web sites listed before but for some reason people snap a picture, ask if it's real, and don't do their homework.
Few can tell much from just a picture and preliminary tests are ez for most to do. Same thing happens when some need information and ask instead of doing the work. Say Google?
One ez way to id most meteorites is to buy one. Even a little one. Study it and a big tip off is the weight and fusion crust. It's hard to tell someone about things like fusion crust but once they see and feel it they'll know. While some with a lot of oxidation might not quite look like one, the beginning is testing.
One scientist in finding one in Gloretta jumped in a stream with a makeshift specific gravity scale to test his find. What ever it takes.
