Seldom heard of treasures, by state

Great info.

I love reading stories that say how "littered" Floridas coast is with wrecks.

Maybe I'm just ignorant but if it is "littered" like they say then why are there so few people out finding these wrecks.

Well keysync... there aren't so many people out there salvaging these wrecks because it costs a LOT of money to do so. On top of that, you have to have proper salvage permits to go after such wrecks as well as having the historical proof that the wreck(s) even existed. And the last reason for there not being more people scooping up all this treasure... the State and the government. They usually want most, if not ALL of it for themselves. Talk about being lazy, huh? ::) Usually the authorities here in Florida hinder most of us from being able to just research, locate and recover whatever it is that we may find. They do a pretty good job at watching all of us... and an even better job of doing it by satellite from Daytona and Titusville, south... but there's always hope of recovering historical items if enough time and dedication is put into it. Then I suppose it's up to time to tell the awesome stories you sometimes hear on this site. :)
