SEF 12x15 Versus Minelab's PRO- lots of pics ---

Hello my T-Net Buddies!
This week, due to illness I haven't been able to get out as much as I like.
The Big P (pneumonia) flat worked on the boy from Southern Colorado! Anyway, all is getting there
and I'll be fine. I have found Coors Light helps when the Docs fail. :)

As promised earlier in the week, I did manage to pit my new SEF 12x15 against my Minelab SE's PRO coil.
The SEF 12x15 is not for the weak, it's heavy but built like a tank. I'm so glad I ordered TALL MAN lower rods
as the coil needs the extra support the rod affords. It's very sensitive for a large coil. The small 22 cal. bullets, and
casing were found with this coil as was the very small gold plated ring. I think the ring is silver with gold plating.
For the price, the SEF IMO is an excellent value. Relic hunters will love it. Swing slow and finds will come!

Here's my take for 4 trips a hunting. I probably only managed 12 to 15 hours total before tuckering out. The 1886 Large Penny is probably my best find, found with the PRO coil. The 1926 Merc was fun as were the total of 3 cheap rings. I found the 1918 Buffalo nickel this morning along with the ornate gold plated ring. That ring must be very old. I added another Englewood, CO bus token to
my collection. It was found with the SEF 12x15 coil again attesting to the coil's excellent sensitivity. I also ended the week with
11 wheat pennies. The oldest being 1909.

Oh, almost forgot; that bottle! Someone had stood it straight up, burying it in the ground
down 6 inches or so! I found a wheat penny beside it.

I also managed a couple of trips using my new RatPhone Max headphones. I was not aware of the MONO problem surrounding
this brand of headphones and Minelab products. Anyway, I persevered and have finally decided I like the new Maxs well enough
to keep them. RtaPhone Customer support is awesome. Thank you Mr. Rick for your patience!

Thank you for your interest!

Thanks T-Net Buddies!

Mrs. Rae!
Yep, that was a lot of loot recovery! :)
You'd think, finding three rings at least one would be solid gold?

Mr. DetectingFreak!
Yes, the two new SEF series of coils from Excelerator/KellyCo are winners.
Due to the weight of the 12x15, I found I had to swing a little closer to my toes than I like.
Another negative; it doesn't like trashy areas!

I am amazed at the size of that coil when it is on the machine. It looks gigantic. It would seem that the SEF coils are well worth the money. There is always room in my collection for another coil ;D Thanks Ron for the review(s) Hope you are feeling better :)

Hello Mark!
Oh, but I am a survivor!
Thanks for the get well wish! :)

The SEF 12x15 coil is the heaviest of any I have ever swung. Is it worth buying?
I think so. It pinpoints spot on and I've grown to really like the look. I can see it laying down some heavy grass.
The SEF 10x12 is just too similiar to Minelab's PRO coil however to justify purchasing both. That's just my opinion
of course and I'm wrong a lot! I plan on keeping mine.
