Seeking Identification Help

[Kona Koma]

I found this item awhile back in California along a river bank just north of San Francisco. It’s pretty tarnished, but a hint of gold flake. I am not sure whether its old or a reproduction. I’m uncertain of its origin or age. Has anyone seen something like this item or know of its orgin? Thank you.
