Hi all,
I am a producer with Pacific Coast Video Production. We're currently looking for great treasure hunting / discovery stories for a possible series on Discovery Channel. If you know of an amazing treasure hunting story you think would make a good documentary, I'd like to hear it. If you could recommend other resources to track down some good stories, I'd appreciate your input.
Thanks a lot and happy hunting!

Tom,
I am currently working on a story about a sunken German U-Boat near where I live. I had always heard stories of U-Boats being refuled on a barrier Island here and didn't know if it was just a local legend. Recently there have been some Nazi artifacts found onshore on the Island. I have also heard of some items being found offshore as well. But this has yet to be verified. The sub crew is rumored either to have defected and was scuttled or was sunk close to shore by accident and the crew came ashore. Again its all being researched and I have yet to verify the sunken U-Boat. But finding the Nazi artifacts is very interesting! Its a good tale so far, but has yet to be proven!

I know of a place in Ill, that I think is a amazing place to do a historical story and about what they found there..It has many legends attached to it and they have the proof, because of the stuff they found in the wall.It was a hang out for some of the bad gangsters and there is also a reported ghost that roams the hall! The Mineola hotel Located on Cora ave, in Fox Lake Ill. It was a boat landing and is now a restaurant and they can tell you the past history of the place....When I was younger we played around that place it was a ghost building at that time..We Detected with my folks and found an old hand pistol, in the woods we don't have any of that stuff any more, that was found...That old place though, has a lot of history and it was an amazing story as they rebuilt the place to what it is now.I would love to see an story of this place done...and I know it would be an honor for the towns people also!and for those people who grew up there! The owners are really friendly and maybe you can get a free meal for doing the story! I would love to go down there and do some diving? with a metal detector along the beach! Just think of what might be down there!

Tom-- I am going to change the name from stacked rocks to " New treasure site".
As this is in a different area.
At present I am talking with Jann Clark the managing editor of Lost Treasure
magazine, they want to run an article with story on my site. I think I sent
company a letter a few weeks ago, I can't remember.

I know a guy that's embarking on a water well expedition soon. He's going to use a submersible video camera to explore the depths of 7 or 8 old wells that are still full of water, one dates back to the early 1800's. Now, if only he can figure out a way to recover the treasures and artifacts that he finds...........adventure on baby! Wells have been a magnet for "well wishers" for centuries. Not long ago, a European well was excavated and coins dating back to the 4th century were found, around 13,000 of them! Numerous bottles, knifes, non coin gold and silver and a host of other treasure lay at the bottom. I think I would be glued to a TV set watching 13,000 old world coins appear. Can't wait to see what this guy I'm speaking of finds!

P.S. That guy is me.....
