Here are the results of the second time out with our new Fisher F2! My 6 year old daughter and I hunted about 2 hours at a well hunted local ball field that dates back to the late 1920's still haven't perfected pinpointing with this machine but getting better! I am not going to show you the photo of the 3 lbs. of aluminum we found, but will show you the coins. 8 - clad quarters, 3 - memorial cents, 10 - clad dimes, 1- 1934 buffalo nickel, 1 - 1942 silver Washington quarter, and 1 - 1945 walking liberty half dollar ! The half dollar was found 11" deep! I was surprised this machine would go this deep.

Sounds like you had an awesome time getting that silver half! Wow 11 inches deep! Thats pretty deep! :o I bet your loving this hobby as much as I do and other metal detectorists on this forum! ;D

Way nice digs. Love the silver. Can't wait till I dig my first WL half. I haven't broken out of the 1900's yet. I have been detecting since Jan. 08. WTG, any kind of park is never hunted out. Thanks for sharing. GL to you and your daughter.
