Went to one of my surface hunting area's this evening with just gathering chert in mind. Don't it seem , to me at least, that you find them when you are not expecting to at all, maybe if it was just for a minuet? Second point find ever. I am glad to share with everyone here. Located in Northwest Missouri.

Nice find.. your getting good at this.
Looks Hopewell.

Thank you Gator! I love the sand spots I find. They seem very promising!

Thank you all. Getting to this "point" (haha) in the hobby has been frustrating, as well as fun. Mostly fun!

Great piece and yeah I always find them when not expecting it haha

It can be hard to get to this point for many as you say. It is like a colonial button. You can look forever but unless you had colonial habitation you may not ever find it. Then you can be blessed and live right among it .
Nice score. I know you have been hard after it

looks almost identicle to my point

mine was found near benton, missouri....15 miles south of cape girardeau so southeast missouri

my archaeology professor said it was possibly adena
