So I today I got out again at the same spot I was at this first time with my xlt. I thought maybe another trip would bring up silver but I guess not. I only ended up digging about a dozen targets (stuff that rang in high) and I got a 1907 indian head penny, 1946 wheat and this odd looking thing I thought was junk but had some markings in it. I am also pretty sure now that this spot must have been hit by someone else for silver as I have spent an easy 12+ hours in a lot that's literally 150 feet long by 30 feet and dug an easy 100-120 targets not including multiple things found in 1 hole. Anyways here are the pictures:

As for depths the indian head was approximately 6-7 inches, wheatie was 6 and the other piece was 8 inches.

Nice Indian Damiani1 . Sounds like your covering your search lot really well . Those are some deep coins .

Go to your local Historical Society and ask if there are any old photos or maps of your area . Look for old parks & fairgrounds that may no longer exsist . DON'T tell them your a detectorist . Our local society does't like detectorists .

Sounds like a good idea, will do that!
