So I was in Dallas the other day and happened by lindsley park. I figured with as close as it is to Garrett there would be nothing much to find. I managed a few wheat pennies and four British coins, but a lot of other signals around. That evening at a spot that I have dug some old stuff in the past I saw that the lot was scraped and construction was beginning. My eyes got big and I knew I was gonna find something cool. With the top inch or two gone I dug a 1925 British sixpence at 8 inches before my headlamp died. Tried again last night with no luck but it was a bit cold. The other pic is a worlds fair souvenir I dug there a couple months ago when it was an overgrown field.

Now that is the stuff I love to find. Great work!!!

@jas415 I would have taken your day over mine any day! I looked on texas finds and saw nothing new so I posted mine and I soon as I did I saw yours!

Jdubbya, I like the surprises of the stuff I find. Here in the Houston area we have a tremendous building boom going on and there are dozens of new demoes each week. From commercial, new to old, houses from the 1910's to 80's, and even street demo's and sidewalk tear outs. We are really blessed now to have all this stuff going on. In the last 2 months I have been there, about 20 feet away, when a half dime was dug and 2 weeks ago an 1838 large cent was dug about 30' from me. But, the downside is we have a LOT of hunters in Houston now and it is really tough to hit a spot first! Anyway, I pm'ed you.
