Second beach hunt of the year first two silver of the year today !

I hunted for a brief time on this beach yesterday . I did hit on one wheatie yesterday so it gave me a starting point today ! Two wheaties and then a crusty merc in the first half hour and I was texting my buddy BB telling him to get his ASS here ! He showed up over an hour late but we still had a good hunt together , Besides my coins with the minelab which seemed to handle the beach well today BB found a George The V Canadian half dime a nice lead backed Rosette and a nice early advertisment cap circa 1915 . Sorry no pics of my buds finds ! The wind was blowing the Rain was coming down but we were making a few finds so we stuck it out till almost dark after the 2;00 pm low tide ! Yes of course we have been in the deep freeze as well here in Maine ! Thank God for the beaches and the fact that I live close to them or I would be shut down as well ! MR

Wonderful array -- WOW! Super start to 2014
Your cold rainy windy beach is yielding a LOT more than our many sunny 65-degree beaches here in Central CA! So I'd better get out there & detect smarter, lol. Downside of our beautiful weather this year is the terrible 3-year drought we're in here in CA -- this year broke a 100-year record for minimal rainfall, very bad effects on the wilderness animals & rationing beginning for people. So folks, warmth & sunshine sometimes arrives with a downside too.
