Hello All!

Catching everyone up on some holiday digging! We made some great finds, check out the video:

In this video you’ll see some sweet Seated silver and great civil war relics, including a bayonet surface find, military brass band mouthpiece made in Germany or Austria-Hungary for a tenor or baritone saxhorn (these were popular in the CW since their over-the-shoulder bells allowed the music to be easily heard while marching). The photo of a Yankee soldier in uniform with a baritone saxhorn is from the Smithsonian. Also—an eagle button surface find, M1859 spur, and more.

Cheers,

Buck

Buck. Congratulations on the beautiful recoveries Well Done

To get the YouTube views you need to show coins (silver and gold) and jewelry. But the mouthpiece is an amazing find! Could be a civil war camp nearby? Been watching your videos for a while. Very nice!

Life is more than YouTube views. What I’ve dug has a lot more value and history than most coin and jewelry hunters :) Folks seem to like my Instagram which has gained a lot of popularity in a short amount of time, so perhaps I’ll push the YouTube account there. I really just do this to log my finds and keep the footage in a searchable order.

awesome finds and saves, love that silver and horn mouthpiece!

Your finds are spectacular, but dude, that last photo really takes the cake. :headbang:

KUDOS!
I love relaxing out in the fields! It’s all part of digging—the relaxation and calm, not just making the finds :) thanks so much my friend!

You did great as usual! You're lucky to find that bayonet on top. I bet you had left it where it was if you only hed this rusty iron signal... Great save!
