Hello All,

Sharing some recent finds and videos with you!

Got a HUGE shooter marble from the civil war era with hand painted designs:

Dug this mystery item with an eagle clutching a key and a flag. Perhaps a letter “S.” No clue. Hat pin? Cap badge? Lapel pin?

My wife dug a Cordeviolle & Lacroix clothing button with a fascinating story to tell (see the video!), dating from c.1832-1849! Only example known.

I got a piece of a fleam (bleeder!!) 😜

A counterfeit seated coin!

An 1852 large cent which cleaned up beautifully in the video:

And a broken U.S. Civil War bit boss!

Of course there were many other fascinating finds too.

Happy Mardi Gras!

that's a lot of what is called Prosser buttons you had eyeballed at that field. They can help establish a time line on sites, as they were first manufactured in 1840. Many folks just think they are modern or post 1900 but they have a longer history than that. Well done.

I don't know why or how my print got bold, must have been my grandson playing with the tablet again..

Nice Relics and Saves. Well Done.
Nice finds. I have been all over

Nice finds! I have been all over the world!! Done more partying than the average bear.. "when i was young" Mardi Gras,, In New Orleans.. Is still the one that i talk about the most..Everyone should fo it. Stayed there for 7 days and have 100 stories to tell.

Interesting finds my friend, the large clay marble is a great find. The fact that it still has the painted decoration on it is a real bonus. I think it's sweet that you and your wife are interested in the same hobby... I took up detecting to get the heck away from my wife! :laughing7:

Haha! We haven’t been together long enough to hate each other yet 😂 but if that time comes I’ve got bigger problems because she knows where all my good spots are! 😱
