seated liberty found

went back to the woods were i found the three silver dollars.detected around a tree and dug these 1876 seated liberty quar.dol.,1876 half dollar c.c.,and 1853seated quar.dol.they were 6 inches down.the hill was just starting its incline and rocky soil.i wasnt shure what i was finding because the tone on my dfx didnt sound like it does when you find a single silver coin.the bar graph indicated dollar so i dug.found these and 9 strips of copper 1/2inch wide by 3 inches long and two old square nails.just makes you wonder how long they were there.im from minnesota.idecited to work the woods because thats were the coins are.ill bet if every one wood say im going woods hunting once this week there would be lotts of new post.get out there,you wont believe it.H.H. rodgerdodger

Oh Yeah, nothing like metal detecting in the woods. Love to hunt those old picnic grounds way back in a woods near a creek. They are out there, but most people just like to stick to those great play grounds. LOL we won't tell them, what great finds lurk in the woods.

Great finds, I'd have been back there at first light the next day.

Call it beginner's luck or whatever you hit a real nice old spot there. One old piece of US silver would be nice but you topped that. Those are some good looking keepers there. Congratulations on the finds and thanks for sharing the photos. By the way you've moved past the beginner status now with those nice finds. Hope that spot gives up some more nice coins for you.
