Relic Hunting
I was hunting a field this morning that has produced several indian trade relics from the mid 1700's. Although the main concentration of relics has been recovered, I still hunt it from time to time hoping for more goodies. I was really surprised to see this 1875 seated half dollar in the hole. It was down about 7 inches and on an angle. Found with a Tesoro Tejon running all metal. Kind of a bummer that I nicked the edge. But, it's only a coin I guess.

I have yet to find a seated of any denomination so it is safe to say I would be changing my undies after this kind of score. Sweet find man.

Congrats, man! That's a beauty.

Finding a half is always exciting'
finding seated is always exciting
finding silver is always pretty cool.
Finding a seated half which is always silver
is damn good!

Oh dang! That thing is amazing, who cares about the nick, still a KILLER find in my books, congrats

Great surfaces on that seated half. I wonder if its because the coin wasn't laying flat for a hundred years. Congratulations, seated halves aren't found very often at all.

Beautiful coin! Great find
