Nice day today so I went back to the area that has produced four seated liberty halfs. Today didn't disappoint. Found an 1862 Seated half today so now it makes 5 (4 if I don't count the one that was baked in a fire). It was the only coin I found today. It wasn't a rock solid signal because of nearby junk but it was good enough to dig. About 6 inches deep beneath some roots. What's strange is that I've still found no other coins ... only seated halfs. I've found plenty of buttons, musket balls, square nails etc. in the area but not even a penny. Very Strange!! I'm not complaining though. There are still plenty of targets to check out and unfortunately still lots of poison oak. Included picture of the other stuff found today. Detected for about 2 1/2 hours. Sorry for the crappy quality of the pictures. I need a new camera!
I never found a seated half before running into this area which appears to be an old campsite with the usual assortment of rusted out cans and junk. I've found lots of musketballs in the area which prompted me to write this article on musket and minnie balls. Check it out if you're interested:

By the way, I'm using a Fisher Coinstrike with a DetectorPro probe.
