This is just more catching up again from this last summer. I MD my favorite spot, the site of an old inn from the 1800s through 1982. Now it's part of an out of the way park. The seated quarter is an 1853 with the rays on the back. I found the gold cufflink at the depth of about 10". That hole was yielding nails and junk, but I kept digging until the odd looking dirt covered small disc came up. When I got home and washed it off, it turned out to be 10k and from MGM with that cool lion in the center. The button, I was told , is probably a chaff button from the 1800's. Both spoons are sterling to my surprise, I found a lot of silver plated ones. With almost every hole I dig in this spot yielded pieces of cups, old dish pieces, glass ware, bottles, woman's copper makeup cases, old oil lamp parts.....ETC. Hope you enjoy the finds. HH

you probably noticed it says Los Angeles, and L.A. Meyers and co, 10 k on the back. I wonder how old it is! My dad said he thinks someone from Ca got off the train and after eating at the inn lost it.
HH! :snorting:
