Hello!
Well, its that time of the year again, the end of the season. It has been the best yet entirely thanks to me DFX. Lots of new coins and awesome relics I can finally cross off the list. Well, it was a bad clad year as parks ran dry. Also, it was a horrible year for jewelry with only two tiny pieces. Although this put a damper on the season, I can take solace in the fact that these will be made forever and I'll always have another chance. This area of Michigan is not the best for MD'ing (Mercs sink to 9 inches here normally) but I did catch the usual breaks. I found 5 silvers in a half an hour in South Dakota at four inches and a neat Indian on the rocks up north. Also, one area of a park was rocky and it yielded my two Barbers 8)
Well, its time to let the pictures do the talking!
This first pic is my second favorite relic of the year. It is an 1898 Souvenir pin from a nearby city.
Next up, a cool old lighter and a musket ball that probably dates to the fur traders of Michigan.
A quartet of military buttons and pins. The large one is an Air Force button, the medal is from the navy, the beat up one is a Chicago Police button, and finally, my favorite relic of the year and my avatar, a late 1800's military button 8)
Close up of my favorite
My sorry collection of jewelry, both unmarked but probably silver
To be continued....right now
