Got out to some of my oldest sites (early 1800βs), still swinging the tiny 6β coil looking.
Saturday:
After 3 hours of mid tones and a wheat, finally got an awesome 28:29 two way signal deep on the slope to the old creek.
Dug the initial plug and the tone was even sweeter, one more scoop and a LC sized disk popped out.
Sunday:
Super scratchy deep 27/28 at a site that has produced early Barbers and IHPs.
Somewhat surprised to see shiny in the hole, thought odds were it would be rusty iron.
Here is the handful of coins.
The deep large cent imposter ended up being a Niagra Falls good luck token (probably from the 60βs) and the silver coin ended up being a 64 Rosie... Oh well at least a couple old iHPs to show.
A few toys popped out this weekend.
My first clay marble, a toy pewter vessel and a midget tag. This is my first midget tag, bucket lister....
Of course no weekend would feel complete without a spoon, but the knife is a bit unusual with the pewter adornments.
The little coil squeaked out some more small buttons.
And the handful of miscellaneous stuff.
Iβm sure I found something old in these pics, well maybe at least from the 60βs.
Good luck out there!
