Has anyone tried searching canadian rolls? I usually go to Canada at least once a year and was thinking about getting some boxes up there. Was wondering if anyone had any experiences to share in regards to CRH'ing over the border. Did you find more older coins than in US rolls? Did you find more or less silver? Thanks.

Also it be interesting to hear any stories people have searching rolls in the UK or other countries as well. Perhaps this is just a US pasttime.

I'm interested in hearing about Canadian rolls, too. I've tried CRHing in The Netherlands, Switzerland, and Iceland, but they don't really have much to offer. The Netherlands uses the Euro, and the chances of finding a silver euro commemorative is pretty impossible. In Switzerland it was still possible to find some high-nickel alloy coins, but silver was about as impossible as The Netherlands. Same story with Iceland. What I found interesting about Iceland was the utter lack of silver and gold coins. They have plenty of jewelry in silver and gold, but I had to search all over Reykjavik just to find what might have been the only gold coin and silver coins available, which I bought. Everywhere I asked, people told, "There are two silver coins and one gold coin in (some shop I can't pronounce)." I spent days trying to find that little shop, and sure enough, the gentleman did indeed have a coin set with the coins I was looking for. Mintage of only 8000 for spot price and proof condition. Made my day. He said people in Iceland do collect coins, but silver is quite rare. I have pretty much given up on CRHing when I travel to other countries, cause there's nothing much left, but I'm still interested in Canada! I plan to go to Toronto later this year and can't wait to get rid of all the Canadian change I've saved up and finally try out a few rolls of their infamous nickels! HH!
