Hi all, I got permission to search a corner yard in my neighborhood..we got snow coming tonight so I'm trying to get it all in before the weather changes for the worse!

My house is a corner lot as well..I previously dug up some silver rosies and wheats along with other coins and stuff, and I tried in vain to find silver in this yard, but to no avail >:( I did find a big handful of coins though (added up to $7.29) including 4 wheats and a Kennedy half found near the sidewalk, some more cars for my growing collection, a bullet (not in pic), and the end of an old cap gun.

Wow, what a neat bunch of finds. That black car in the first picture looks like the Batmobile?
Great job.

Nat,

Great bunch of digs. Glad you got out before the weather changed. That's a lot of coins for one yard. I would go back again, if you can too see what else is there. Great job.

Thanks for the replies..at least I know my detector is working, right? ;)

Believe me I worked that yard hard..my right hand hurts a little from diggin so much..the ground near the driveway was too hard (a little frozen) to dig, so I'll have to go back when it thaws out, there were several good signals there.

After searching the back yard fairly thoroughly I hadn't found one wheatie..I knew there had to be some so I checked again after I took a break..I found 3 close to the fence line and the other on the opposite fence line..those suckers were DEEP! My unit didn't even read them as pennies so I lessened the discrimination and it beeped louder..didn't think it was going to be anything special because it didn't read out as a penny (or any coin for that matter). Glad I decided to dig anyway.

After cleaning, the black car happened to be a Hong Kong made 57 Chevy Hardtop made by acompany whose name begins with "Zyn".

Gee, it doesn't get any better than that, does it??? Wow, I should be so lucky. If the darned snow would ever go away, I would be able to get back out myself. Thanks for sharing your great pics.
