SE Pro Gets Stuck In Pinpoint.

I recently bought a used SE Pro and have been testing in my coin garden. It has locked onto a surface coin a few times in PP, loud sound as expected, and then it stays that way even if the coil is raised way high, sound keep constant at any level.

Is this a problem? Going out of PP recovers it though.
