Hi all,
got a steal, a "Spare Air" scuba tank at GW for $30. it was $45 but I cashed in some points to get 25% off. Got a bidder for around $180, not a bad profit at all. the problem is though the guy is in Bahrain, and my listing was for US only. how does that happen?
So I quote him shipping to Bahrain and it's like 88 bucks. he says it's too expensive and to ship to his US address instead. the problem is this address is nowhere on his profile. From talking with ebay and from what I understand, I will be protected via ebay as long as I have a message from the seller with his address, but I will not be protected from paypal since it's not a paypal confirmed address (at least not that I know of)
What do you guys think, Can I just protect myself by getting tracking and insurance on the package or am I being setup here? He's been an ebay member since sept. of this year and has 5 positive feedback. I checked the sellers and they all have lots of feedback and don't seem related. They say no problems, paid fast.
Anyways, always be on the lookout for scuba gear. tanks have to be visually inspected every year and hydrostatically tested every 5 so make sure to let the buyer know if it's past those dates so they don't go to jamaica and can't get a tank fill!
