SCUBA CLASS

do you just show up, do you bring your own equipment, or rent equipment? $100 is awesome!!! Any website for this or more info, I wanna do it!!!!

100 bucks for the class, you'll need fins, mask, snorkle(another $200 bucks or so)you show up for the class(you have to register first)float for 20 minutes and swim 200 yards.its a 6 week class, every sat and sun from 2pm till 6pm.you take your open water at Haigh quarry(another $100 bucks)i spent about $400 - 500 bucks for the whole thing

I'd love to do that Bomber. How long have you been at it and how often do you have to recertify, if at all?

got my open water 2 years ago, once you have it you don't have to recertify,BUTa "refresher" course would be a good idea if you don't get in the water much.when you first get into fresh or salt water you realize your just a "guest" in the water and you have to respect it.when you see somebody holding their breath on tv and yer thinking i could hold my breath twice as long as that............nope,its a whole different world

Well actually Bomber I used to snorkel a ton, hunting the gravel pits around here as a kid. You can hold your breath a LONG time when there's drunk bikers taking pot shots at you in the water.

Sure I couldn't do that well now and I'm also waiting to hear from the doc if my valves are too leaky for anything new and exciting.

I became certified in SCUBA in 2003....best decision I ever made.

small price to pay
