Hey y'all. Found this script copper button today near a site in south carolina that served in the rev war, war of 1812 and civil war. Its covered in crust and I'm worried about damaging it by over cleaning. Thought someone might be able to identify what it might be by the detail that is exposed. Thought it might be a script "LA" or "RR" for light artillery or regiment of riflemen. Thanks in advance! Gheenoe.
