Script Republican Blues Confederate Button

Even though it's in bad shape and it took me over a day to clean it, its another Republican Blues button from the American Civil War or before. This time its the script RB button. I was once again using the XP Deus HF Elliptical Coil. When I first dug it, I could not ID it and thought that it may be a civilian flower button. After a few hours of cleaning, I could barely make out the letters RB and could not believe it. This is my 3rd RB button dug in 6 months. The first 2 where dug on the same site, this one from a different site. It has been a Republican Blues year for me so far. I will post the video of this hunt on my YouTube channel in the coming months. Other finds from this hunt included a cool Bennington Marble and an Amber Bottle Topper. You can see pictures of how the button cleaned up from finished product to the beginning.



The back is toast.

What is really weird is that I just ordered the full size high quality print of the attached music cover from 1860 showing the Republican Blues to be mounted in a large frame with the RB eagle buttons that I found previously (I'm going to hang it on my wall as a piece of art). Now I'm debating whether I should put one of each button in the frame?

Nice button .. When you enlarge it, it looks like the letters are identical RR. Are my eyes really that bad?

The letters are very close in appearance, but the B has a little longer line at the bottom.
