Oakmont ,WV sits on Abrams Creek near the North Branch of the Potomac river. I’ve detected many of the old mining towns in that area. Most are ghost towns but Oakmont still has a few houses. I’d say that token is 1900 to 1920 time ranges . It’s in great shape. Very nice find

Nice fine. I think the old tokens are much more interesting than the old coins of the same age.

I have a couple local trolly tokens that I think are among my favorite finds.

Nice find! Edkins' WV Coal Company Store Scrip book lists a 5¢, 10¢, and $1 pieces from this store, but not the 1¢ denomination. I think ca. 1920 is about right. Please do post it on tokencatalog.com, or with permission to use your pics, I could post them.

Some history:
In 1919, Edwin Ingle and Jerry Schierloh formed the short-lived Ingle-Schierloh Company which issued tokens,
many with the "Master Metal" slogan.
Ingle-Schierloh was taken over by The Dayton Stencil Company in 1927. Therefore, your token was made sometime during the period 1919-1927.

Dang, my brother is published again! He also has a very rare button pictured in a book written by a very well known author whose name escapes me!:icon_scratch:
