My th partner and I searched a freshly baled hay field where there once was a house in the early 1900's. Two minutes after starting I found a 1920 Merc at 2 1/5 inches. A few minutes later Cliff found an 1881 Indian Head penny in really good shape. About a half hour later I got a solid signal at one inch showing quarter. Since the field was plowed last year I thought why not check it anyway. Thought it was just some more trash. Was sure surprised when a 1925 Standing Liberty Quarter popped out of the ground. Scratch one from the wish list. We will pounding this site hard. Just wonder what is under all those rolls of hay?

Nice coins sonny60
I would love to find an open field where I could find the likes of those two coins (nobody looking over my shoulder)
