Someone thought my yard was a good place to sit out a few VCR's. I gave them to my 6 year old who loves taking things apart. Does anyone know what type of metals come from VCR's and what is worth saving? He has started his own little 'junk' bucket and want to make sure he gets the most for his items not just steel price. Thanks in advance!

I have a scrap yard here that will pay ,25 cents/lb. for all circuit boards, the metal case is separated, all the wires are cut and separated for different pricing, and any of the heavy copper bearing starts motors and coils are also separated. I dismantle all from TVs and other electronics, and when I have enough weight take them in and pick up a check. Most of these old electronics can be found free along the road, and except for time are profit. Good luck, and hope this was helpful.
