Who came first Scoville&Co. Waterbury or Scoville MFG Co.??

dug this button yesterday in Cobb county Ga. That's quite a walk to the coast in any direction.

Could this be pre civil war?

It is dented in the center, There is a shield on the chest, and thirteen stars on the border. Back side Scovile&Co. Waterbury
