Sometimes you have to take a risk/punt & today I decided to try 3 new fields. I explored them all in about 3 hours 15 minutes & decided none of them were any good. With a tudor buckle being the oldest find. They are now crossed off the list.

Land-Mag picked me up & we went to a nearby wood to pick up some logs for his fire. Whilst there we decided to have a quick hunt & field walk for pottery on a field that had shown potential in Land-Mag's research but had come up blank on a previous scout. This time I noticed the darker soil & headed straight for it (nowhere near where the marker for the investigation was) & began to see some pot shards. Game on - 45 minutes 10 Roman Coins.:headbang: Another site to explore.

Funny how a short hunt can turn the day around.

Jealous. I don't know much about the value or rarity of a lot of the coins you find, but I have to think if other people found what you found they'd be banner worthy. But now we expect it from you! I bow to your greatness.

This is part of the problem, too much land & very wet although I have to start ticking off fields as we got about another 50+ this year alone.
