Scouting an old farm for Civil War Artififacts, What is the this? TEXAS ?

Finally got to go to my brothers farm. The farm has been around since before the Civil War and is on the old maps. Located in the area of a small battle during the Peninsular Campaign. Found some minnies,,Musket balls and this?

Any idea what it could be? Measures about 2.5 in high and aboit 1 in wide.

Better investigate deep with that one, some of that old Texas pre civil war stuff can be worth big bucks, could be Texas ranger related, waco has a Texas ranger musem check with them

I do not think it is Texas Ranger related, The badge of a Texas Ranger was made from a cinco centovas coin.
